Articles submitted to the Journal of Gazi Academic View by the authors should be screened by similarity detection software before submission. The total similarity of the report is made by excluding "quotations, text parts containing less than 5 words overlap and bibliography") rate should be below 20%, and the similarity with a single work should be below 4%.

The submitted articles first go through a general evaluation by the Editorial Board. Those that do not pass this initial stage receive a desk rejection and are not sent out for blind review. Reasons for desk rejection can include non-compliance with author guidelines, failure to adhere to publication ethics, subject of the article being outside the scope of the journal, or that it is not qualified to be published, etc. The author(s) will be notified if the outcome of the Editorial Board's general evaluation is negative.

Articles that pass the general evaluation of the Editorial Board proceed to a double-blind peer review. At this stage, each article is anonymously peer reviewed by at least two referees who are experts on the subject of the article. If both referee reports are negative, the article is rejected and the author(s) will be notified. If one referee report is positive and the other is negative, the article is sent to a third referee. If an article is evaluated by one or both referees as “review and resubmit,” the authors must revise and resubmit the article within 20 days. Revised and resubmitted articles will be re-evaluated by the same referees. If both referee reports are positive, the article is sent to the Editorial Board for final decision. The decisions made by the Editorial Board are final and the corresponding author is informed about the decision of the Editorial Board. Accepted articles are queued for publication and will appear in future issues based on their acceptance date.

In the event of any disagreements with referee reports, the author(s) has the right to raise an objection to the referee’s decision, which should be submitted as a separate document to the Editorial Board.
